What Customers Say About Nero Liquid TV:

I bought this a while ago and i do not use it at all now. Well, i do use the hardware and remote with a copy of Sagetv and it works so much better.I am sad, i always have loved my Tivo and will buy a set top tivo in the future again, but this software is fail. It looks like my old tivo screen but does not act like it.Software is laggy, buggy and just sad.(my pc is mid level gaming machine and tivo software will eat up all resources while just deleting a recording)id give hardware that's included 4 stars and software 1/2 star if i could.

I make no moderate purchases without checking the Amazon reviews first. I have waited a long time to buy this product because it is so expensive.it went on sale today at Frys Electronics at $20 off plus a $100 mail in rebate. I can't begin to tell you the money i have saved by doing that. After reading 12 reviews here i decided it was not worth the bargain. I did not want to have the troubles all 12 reviewers had.OK, so i didn't actually buy the item.i am here to say thank you to the reviewers who took the time to spare me the wasted time and money. I was literally one the way to the store but stopped to read the reviews here, so thank you for helping me and others like me who would have bought this and would have been disapointed in both the product and customer service. manufactures like Nero will take note of these forums and improve their products and service because of the people here who took the time to comment.

No matter the order in the list it will pick what from the list it wants to record. I have no idea where the guide is downloading from but it isn't always correct.

Can use a keyboard to type in show titles.Cons: Moving around the menus is slow, at times very slow. Pros: It's the only TiVo product that allows you to combine over the air digital signals with an external box, such as satellite.

The save to DVD feature seems to have no rules to it, some episodes of a show can be save and some can't, and sometime the same episode if recorded twice will have one be savable and one not. My computer can handle playing a Blu-ray, a DVD and playing Doom 3 at the same time so it's plenty powerful enough.

It insists that I have every satellite channel that has an HD feed listed twice in the guide even after I select what channels I have. I have a stand alone TiVo connected to another satellite and it has the correct guide.MAJOR CON: The Season Pass list has a mind of its own.

After my first install I reinstalled and wrote out the order of priority of my shows and entered them in the order of least to most important and it still only wants to record 3 of the shows on the list.

Trust me when I say stay away from this. Don't waste your money. A used popcicle stick has more brains than these people. TiVo should be disgusted with themselves as well as Nero. Run away. I will never drop a dime on their products again. It's garbage on so many levels I don't even know where to start. Oh if you need support good luck.

1980s VHS recorder did 1000 times better than this junk. I have a dell xps that can handle extremely powerful software yet this turd crashed it all the time. Plus they know their product is so bad they charge you for support. Fast.

Currently I have two problems with this product that render it unusable.1) The guide does not populate with data, (it did one time, but the data was all two weeks in the future), making it useless for picking or scheduling shows to watch or record.2) The IR blaster doesn't function, meaning I can't change the channel on my satellite box, so I can't even "surf" channels without the benefit of the guide, and if the guide did work, I still couldn't schedule recordings because it's unable to change the channel.Tech support from Nero is non-existent, they repeatedly send a canned response telling you to read the FAQ and don't even bother demonstrating that they've read your support request, let alone have any intention of helping you.Based on experience with this product, I'd imagine there are a million other problems that would start popping up if I got past these two show stoppers, but I'm four months into my one year and still no luck or support so it's probably going to lay dead where it is.PS, Nero customer support is even worse than their tech support, I forwarded my tech support tickets to them asking for an RMA ("if you can't fix it, please replace it") and got no response at all, not even a canned one.
